Presidenti i Federatës Italiane të Futbollit, Gabriele Gravina, ka dhënë dorëheqje zyrtarisht, duke mbyllur kështu kapitullin e tij në krye të institucionit.

Vendimi vjen menjëherë pas humbjes së Italisë ndaj Bosnjës në finalen e play-offit, një rezultat që ka shkaktuar reagime të shumta dhe presion të madh ndaj drejtuesve të futbollit italian.

Italia dështoi të kualifikohet në Kupën e Botës 2026.
